Design and implementation of the FabLab Terracina
A laboratory compliant with Fab Foundation standards that has become a reference point for the city of Terracina.
Project summary
The FabLab Terracina is a project of the Azienda Speciale Terracina, aimed at promoting cooperation, sharing, networking and continuous learning among people with a passion for technological innovation.
Chirale was tasked with the technical design of the lab, the sizing of the machines, the installation and the start-up support.
The resulting facility offers training courses, workshops, fabrication services, hands-on use of digital machines (3D printers, laser cutters, soldering stations, electronics-prototyping platforms, vinyl cutters) and support for startups.

Deliverables
Chirale carried out the project and supplied all the initial machines and equipment, including:
- 50 W CO2 laser cutter
- 3 Prusa i3 3D printers
- Cameo vinyl cutter
- Electronics workshop
Results
The facility was inaugurated in February 2019 and since then it has become a reference point in the Terracina area for maker communities, students and companies, with a rich training-course programme and a broad portfolio of services.
