Chirale for Fashion: Angelo Masciello multi-awarded at the International Fashion Lab Award
The 27th edition of Mittelmoda's International Lab Award was a great success that demonstrates the effectiveness of Chirale's programmes supporting young talent in the fashion sector.
One of our main areas of research has always been innovation in the High Fashion sector, where we invest in experimentation with new materials and new production processes capable of offering designers and creatives the means to best express their potential.
Innovating the High Fashion sector means designing the entire life cycle of products according to principles of environmental sustainability and production efficiency, while at the same time creating more powerful tools to express creativity through new expressive languages, stylistic lines and trends.
It is a process that involves technology and creativity, that sees experts in digital fabrication, new materials and designers working side by side.
Every year Chirale selects some young and brilliant talents in the High Fashion and accessory sectors, offering them the opportunity to develop and produce their own collections with the support of our laboratories, alongside the best experts in new materials and innovative working techniques made possible by our machines.
The results are always surprising, and even at the start of this season, recognition from the main players in the global fashion system has not been lacking.
Two young and promising talents, trained at the Accademia di Costume e Moda di Roma, our long-standing partner and one of the top 5 fashion schools in the world, were selected to take part in the prestigious International Lab Award by Mittelmoda, one of the few sector contests recognised by BOF, The Business of Fashion, considered the atlas of the global Fashion market.
Our compatriot Angelo Masciello and Moscow-born Anastasia Chebotareva had the chance to present their collections, produced with the support of FabLab Ostiense, walking as finalists at the MICAM in Milan, which hosted the 27th International Lab di Mittelmoda.
The presence within this prestigious international selection, which involved 21 of the most important training institutes from around the world, was a great success and recognition of our ability to identify the best talents.
In addition, the fantastic Angelo Masciello managed to win two different prizes: the Bag & Shoes Award, awarded by MICAM, and the Leather Award, awarded by Lineapelle.
