The Metaverse course for professionals and entrepreneurs you shouldn't miss
The first practical course to open your own office in the Metaverse, taught by two exceptional instructors.
Interest in the Metaverse has grown enormously over the past few months. Facebook’s strong investment in this direction — testified to also by its name change to Meta — has surely helped keep media attention high; however, there is no doubt that many large companies have channelled significant marketing funds toward the most important platforms already active in this field.
One important thing to note is that Facebook’s Metaverse is not yet available in Europe, while platforms in strong growth have existed for some time, such as Decentraland, in whose virtual world the main consumer-goods brands are now present.
Given this trend, does it make sense for an Italian company to commit part of its communications resources in this direction?
Will the required investment yield a return? After all, the idea of a parallel virtual world is not new, and the forerunner of all platforms, the famous Second Life, is hardly stirring great enthusiasm today. What is new now that justifies this renewed media hype?
It is hard, as always, to make reliable predictions; however, the rule we operate by in the frontier-technology sector still holds for us: when the investments of the main market players move in one direction, something always happens, and business opportunities become real regardless of merit considerations.
For this reason we have decided to propose a training course addressed to anyone who wants to deepen the topic and, above all, understand what real opportunities these virtual platforms offer and what it means for a business or a professional/commercial activity to have a presence in the Metaverse.
It is no coincidence that we have entrusted this course to two professionals, pioneers in the new technologies that characterise virtual-reality platforms, with a proven personal track record in leveraging the Metaverse — and whose profiles are perfectly complementary for the goals our training event aims to achieve.
Cora Gasparotti is an established artist and performer, researcher and teacher on new technologies applied to choreutic art and to live performance in general, who boasts a solid reputation and numerous international awards, having been among the first to work on virtual reality and the Metaverse, creating performances on the main market platforms.
Already known as an actress, model and dancer through her stage name Cora dai Capelli Rossi, she has her main Instagram profile visible here, where more than 16,000 followers testify to her skills in the communications sector. She currently works on research in robotics applied to Art and on the technologies for transposing choreographic performances into the Metaverse.
Giacomo Spaconi is a videomaker and director specialised in producing content on innovative media; among his activities best known to the general public is his collaboration with the successful project “Le Coliche”. He provides consultancy in communication on the new digital channels and has worked with nationally relevant companies with a strong social-media presence, including Taffo, Michela Giraud and Benedetta Rossi.
His Instagram profile too, visible here, with more than 18,000 followers, is tangible testimony to his skills and abilities in the social-media-marketing sector.
The intensive, introductory course, to be held on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 July, will be the preview of a wider Higher Education programme starting in autumn, but it will allow participants to build a clear, realistic, up-to-date idea of the state of the art of the Metaverse and the related technologies and to take the first steps by setting up their own office and avatar on one of the platforms currently available in Europe.
