Our e5PL project wows the audience at GCES 2023 in Shenzhen

The first release of the e5PL technology platform, designed and built for Servix China by Chirale, was presented to a vast audience of cross-border e-commerce operators at the Global Cross-borders Ecommerce Summit in Shenzhen.

The Global Cross-borders E-commerce Summit (GCES) is the most important conference on cross-border e-commerce focused on the Chinese market.

The GCES 2023 edition was held, as usual, from 7 to 12 July 2023 at the huge Shenzhen Conference & Convention Center, in the heart of the technology district of the People’s Republic of China, at a particular moment marked by enormous market potential but also by the first signs of crisis for Asian operators, driven by tougher Western regulations both on fiscal compliance and on sustainability.

For this reason we made a major operational and organisational effort to be able to present, already at this edition of the summit, the first working release of the brand-new and innovative e5PL platform that Chirale is designing and building for Servix China, a leader in European fiscal representation for the Asian market.

The presentation was given this morning, 12 July Shenzhen time, by Francesco Colcerasa, CEO and founder of Servix China.

The efforts of the last weeks of intense work were amply repaid by the enormous interest and great enthusiasm shown by the vast audience of commercial operators in the conference hall of the Shenzhen Convention Center.

Throughout the summit week, our stand was literally besieged, and the event closes with the acquisition of an exorbitant number of contacts, far exceeding our goal of building a first customer base on which to run the platform’s pilot testing.

The 5PL model — that is, Fifth Party Logistics — which we designed together with Servix offers an immediate and natural solution to the problems that the cross-border e-commerce sector will face in the coming years.

The high-tech solutions proposed by Chirale, combined with the excellence of Servix’ traditional offering on fiscal compliance, make the e5PL platform a powerful tool to ensure Chinese manufacturers a qualified and profitable presence on Western markets.

The technology will enable full integration between the IT systems of all the operators in the supply chain, from logistics carriers to leading e-commerce platforms, including European and Chinese tax agencies and verification bodies.

Artificial Intelligence will make it possible to optimise relationships with end consumers, pre- and post-sales customer-care processes, logistics processes and relations with governmental bodies, significantly reducing commercial and tax disputes as well as overall costs.

The e5PL model provides for the aggregation of multiple operators into consortium-like structures, giving even smaller companies the opportunity to compete on global markets.

The optimisation of logistics processes will reduce the environmental impact tied to the storage and transport of goods and will allow lower retail prices, to the benefit of consumers.

A strong focus on customer-care processes will also offer European consumers a higher level of protection than the one currently provided through the major e-commerce marketplaces.
