EVENT

More than 600 attendees at Ostiense Makers Night 2021

The great night dedicated to celebrating the maker movement was a huge success, with many guests in a breathtaking location.

After last year’s forced break, the Maker Faire of Rome has returned in person, and with it our great party dedicated to celebrating the Italian maker movement, which, as tradition has it, is held on the evening of the first day of the fair.

Whether it was the desire to leave behind the long period of restrictions on social activities, or the fact that the maker movement is still alive and vital, or the curiosity to visit our wonderful new location, or the combination of so many factors, the end result was one of the most beautiful and well-attended events ever.

Despite the need to require a green pass from everyone, by the end of the evening — or perhaps we should say of the night, since we finished at dawn — the attendance, this time rigorously recorded, was just over 600.

A great success.

Fantastic was the live music and video-mapping performance, created expressly for the evening by Collettivo Zeno, made up of Edoardo Staffa and Francesco Paradisi, who played between dynamism and stasis, between continuous and discrete, through the live interaction of the two performers with an Artificial Intelligence.

All in perfect harmony with the spaces of FabLab Ostiense and the cutting-edge technologies hosted inside.

Two wheelbarrows filled with ice and 20 cl single-serving bottles ensured a constant supply of beer to all guests, as is tradition.
