EVENT

Roma Makers Night 2018: on Friday 12 October the Big Open Party returns!

On the occasion of Maker Faire Rome 2018, as every year, the Roman makers welcome artists, creatives, scientists and inventors from all over the world at Spazio Chirale in Garbatella. Admission is free and all enthusiasts of creativity and innovation are invited. 19:30, via Ignazio Persico, 32.

As every year, on the occasion of the first day of Maker Faire Europe, the Roman makers welcome the global maker community to the historic neighbourhood of Garbatella, home of the Capital’s first Fab Lab and of Spazio Chirale — atelier dedicated to the processes of Innovation and of all the Arts, Sciences, Technologies and Crafts of the 21st century.

The invitation is extended to all Romans, not only to those who will attend or visit the Maker Faire of Rome, which will take place from 12 to 14 October at the Fiera di Roma.

The appointment is at around 19:30 on Friday 12 October, at Spazio Chirale in via Ignazio Persico, 32.

As always, it will be a big party with music, pizza and beer, but it will also be a unique and unmissable opportunity to visit one of the largest Fab Labs in Europe, with dozens of machines and technologies for new digital fabrication.

The entire Spazio Chirale staff will be present, and it will be possible to see in action 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, thermoforming machines, educational and industrial robots, printing and cutting plotters — and to visit the electronics prototyping lab, the e-textile lab, and the analog, digital and experimental visual-arts photography lab.

As part of the event there will also be the chance to meet and get to know those who are at the forefront of European Innovation projects targeting topics dear to maker culture.

From 19:30 to about 21:30, in fact, some absolutely unmissable talks will be held — both for the calibre of the speakers and for the topics covered.
